Archons were once powerful wizards who underwent a horrible curse. Once brought back in the unlife, these creatures are completely different form Lichs: Dark Archons are always possessed by unnatural rage and hate towards the living creatures and, even though they usually show great intelligence and power, they use these qualities only to kill and destroy. Some of the once-living most powerful wizards can also be self-aware when came to unlife and only a few Necromancers are capable to control them.
